Hi guys!
I am treating my girlfriend with a surprise WE starting tomorrow night for her birthday. I just hope she%26#39;ll enjoy Prague as much as I did the last time I went there. Apart from the weather, which is supposed to be real bad, I%26#39;m willing to make it as best as possible!
I already booked opera tickets for Saturday night and wanted to go to a very fine restaurant afterwards. I saw that Allegro and Zlata Praha are nice, but Allegro is Italian food, so I don%26#39;t want to go there, and Zlata Praha looks too much like a grand hotel restaurant. Do we really miss something with Zlata Praha?
Anyways, I have managed to select Kampa Park and Flambée as potential alternatives. Which one would you advise us to go? Is food equally good? Isn%26#39;t Flambée too posh?
Otherwise, am I missing a very good restaurant? To put it differently, Id like it to be the finest in Prague.
Thanks for your advice!
Cheers,
Cedric

I had the same debate between Kampa and Flambee....in the end I chose Kampa for 2 reasons......
1. Their menu was a little more appetising to my tastes,
2. The views over to Charles Bridge.
We leave tomorrow, and in the end I booked Kampa Park for 11th November on the Riverside Terrace. I hope you will be ok to get a booking at whichever you choose.
Flambee%26#39;s interior looked amazing, but I though it would be a little more romantic to have the views that Kampa has.
But with that said, from the research I did, I felt Flambee appeared slightly superior over Kampa Park.
Perhaps go for lunch at whichever one you don%26#39;t choose?
Hope this helps and have a great time. I%26#39;ve got my umberella packed - hope you have too!

Thanks Lisa!
I actually managed to get a table on the riverside terrace at Kampa Park, but could not get someone at Flambee to confirm the reservation... weird... I take it as the actual signal not to go there! So we%26#39;ll probably dine a few tables away one from the other :-)
Have a great trip, it%26#39;s going to be gorgeous!
Cheers,
Cédric

You will be delighted with The Kampa Park.
My partner and I have dined there on our last 2 visits to Prague.
I have booked again for this December, when I am returning with a friend who has never visited Prague before.
I know this will be one of the highlights of her trip.
Providing you book a table with excellent views (next to the River ), you cannot fail to to fall in love with the Prague, Kampa Park and the food (which is sublime).
Some people get really dressed up for dinner at The Kampa.
Others go smart casual.
It is formal, but unpretentious.
Staff are lovely.
So are the cocktails!
Enjoy

don%26#39;t know which opera you are going to, but if it is the state Opera house, zahrada v opere restaurant is right next door and eating there after the opera takes away much of the hassle of then trying to find a taxi or something to go right across town to kampa or flambee
If you are going to the national theatre, try v zatisi on Liliova street five minutes walk away. If at the Theatre of Estates, Kogo on havelska a stones throw away is good
