Shopping (clothing) near Prague

Me and my boyfriend are visiting Prague for the first time this saturday and after reading comments we%26#39;ve decided to go shopping for clothing somewhere else during our 1 week stay.

The question is, where to?

We know about Cesky Krumlov and Karlovy Vary.. we even thought about Vienna, but I%26#39;m not sure if it%26#39;s possible to go there in the morning and have any time left to shop by the time we arrive.

Would appreciate some feedback :)

Are there malls outside the city centre in Prague, (I read about one at Prague 6) and how do you travel there?

Shopping for clothes is not great here. Either we have the designer stuff, more expensive than elsewhere, or Sarah and Mango. Nice boutiques you can find at the Mall Flora, that is at the Metro stop with the same name. When you walk back to town from there, which is an easy walk down the hill, there is a small exclusive shopping mall called Pavillon on the way. Also on the Metro is the shopping centre Smichov (%26#39;Andel%26#39;). There are bigger malls on the outscirts of Prague, but you travel 30-45 min by Metro and bus.

Thanx for the tips :)

Which bus/metro should I take when I want to go to the outscirts?

1 hour by bus won%26#39;t be a problem :)

Chodov is also a good place for shopping. It has a big Mall right next to the Metro station on the C (Red) line. It takes about 20-30 minutes from the city centre, but you literally walk from the Metro station into the Mall. All the big name shops are there, but as the previous writer said, everything is that bit more expensive in Prague.

All the big British chains are represented in Prague, ie. Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, Next, H %26amp; M. I find the prices slightly higher than here in the UK.

It is very easy to get to the big shopping Malls by metro. There is one in Andel and another one at Zlicin which is a bit further out on the Yellow Line.

if you wnat decent shopping, go to Dresden - 2.5 hours by train from Prague

Just got back from Prague and I thouht it was pretty good for shopping, me and my boyfriend had to pay extra for our baggage when checking in :)

Thanks for all the tips, we traveled a bit with the metro, but it was worth it!
