translation??

How do you say %26quot;Cheers%26quot; in Czech? Thx, Dee

|||

In the drinking a toast context, you say %26quot;Na zdravi%26quot; which means %26quot;to health.%26quot;

|||

How do you pronounce Na zdravi ?

Do you say the z ?

|||

It is pronounced, more like Naz dravi.

Or you can play a trick and say it is Nadrazi (which is not cheers, but %26quot;station%26quot;). When I arrived many years ago, I was toasting station with every beer (because someone had told me to do so) for at least a month before some kind local corrected me

thanks for the reply! Dee

|||

Thank you, I will be having my first beer in Prague in about 7 hours time.

Naz dravi
