xmas in prague

Back from Istanbul, which was brillant , will post in approriate forum anyway planning xmas get away ..... with the two children , and wanted to know whether prague will provide the real xmas experience ........ We are looking for a hotel , located where we can get a real sense of the local cuisine , and culture such as classic xmas concerts...

if it snows, Prague is magical at Christmas. Most of the muzeums are closed but the castle itself is open (not the buildings) and you can wonder round the old town freely. At Christmas when many restaurants are shut, I would choose a hotel in walking distance from the centre but with a restaurant. Don%26#39;t know what kind of expense or luxury you are looking for and if you say, we can give suggestions.

wouldn%26#39;t go for the local Chirstmas cuisine. Carp with potatoes and cabbage isn%26#39;t something I would recommend
