What a wonderful city!

I%26#39;ve been meaning to write this review for weeks now, but better late than never. My wife and i were in Prague on the last weekend of August, a truely memorable visit for all the right reasons. As with any city break we go on, we depend on the advice of TA users for everything from hotels to restaurants to tour companies. We stayed in the Grand Praha and requested a room with a view of the square and weren%26#39;t dissapointed as our view was looking down on the Ast.. Clock. A perfect location for exploring the city as everything is within walking distance. The hotel was super, big room and great bathroom with seperate w.c, we booked a hotel-airport return transfer which was very convenient. Our package was b%26amp;b and the breakfast buffet was superb, bellies full untill evening. As advised we went to the %26quot;Estate Theatre%26quot;, Don Giovani, definately one of the unforgetables. Food, we ate in Kogo, Ambiente, Bellevue and last but by no means least Kampa Park. Kampa Park was special, our reservation was for the Sunday night, we got a table down along the river. The service was excellant and the food was incredible. If we get the chance to come back we will eat here again. I should elaborate on the others, Kogo (Italian) tasty food, reasonably priced and very convenient to the Estates. Ambiente we stumbled across on our last day and regretted having not known about it before. Its obviously well known locally because at 3pm on a Monday afternoon it was full. Bellevue was lovely but compared to Kampa Park dissapointing. We did a prague walking tour from Wen.. Square and found it very informative, we got a great guide. All in all we thorougly enjoyed our break and would recommend Prague as an excellant city break. Finally a big thank you to every one who responded to my many quieries, you all contributed to an incredably enjoyable trip.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to Prague and your stay at the Grand Hotel Praha as much as we did! We also stumbled upon an Ambiente restaurant...the Pasta Fresca Ambiente on Celetna. Is that the same Ambiente you went to? We found the staff and food so enjoyable we ended up going back for a second meal.

Glad you had a great time.

Don Giovani at the Estaes theatre in 2002 was my first ever full Opera and lead me into a world I just had not experienced before.I have been to many more operas since, but Don Giovani will remain with me forever.
