Hi,I would recommend you look through previous forum posts.Prague is a beautiful city, with accomodation to suit all budgets.Myself I stayed at Ibis Smichov.Fairly priced, clean modern rooms, not in centre of town, but easy access by tram.Have a great time!.

jacko,

check out the mala strana area, it is near enough to most of the sights to walk, some great hotels, and it is a nice area,it is also a little away from the centre and a bit quieter

Hi

I would recomend the hotel Kampa Garden, it%26#39;s situated right next to the Charles Bridge, on an island next to a park on a lovely square with a sweet stream running behind it. Get a room at the back the view is lovely.

The breakfast is ok, eat as much as you can and they will make you fresh boiled eggs, the rooms are largish with good sized bathrooms and spotlessly clean and there is free internet in the lobby. It%26#39;s a none smoking hotel.

We%26#39;ve also stayed at the Ibis in Smichov and that too was fine, typical Ibis and close to trams which ran into town every couple of minutes.

My top tip is: Download a copy of the In Your Pocket guide and read it avidly, it%26#39;s reviews on restaurants, accommodation, museums, galleries, rip offs etc are spot on. Then nearer to your holiday buy a full copy online or when you get to Prague.

I use them for every country which we visit if they are available and follow their advice religiously, they have never let us down yet and have found us some fantastic out of the way eating places which cost peanuts yet serve great food.

Enjoy Prague but wrap up well, it will be cold.

Jackie
