new years in prague

We are 2 couples travelling to prague between the 29th dec and 2nd Jan staying in an apartment in the jewish quarter, Could anyone give us advice as to what%26#39;s on around new year, public holidays etc. thanks

christams market is on till 1st January. Midnight fireworks by the river on 31st are spectacular
