Don%26#39;t know about the weather for the 5th Dec. We went last December and it didn%26#39;t snow, but it was VERY cold.
The Christmas markets were lovely for the atmosphere, lots of stalls, but a bit repetitive. Plenty of stalls selling food and drink.
I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have a great time.

By English standards, it will be cold. It%26#39;s hard to say what the temperature will be as sometimes it can be mild, other times it can be very cold, especially if it is windy or snowing. Keep an eye on the weather forecast beforehand, and bring a hat and gloves with you as it does get cold if you are walking around outside all day. Svarak (mulled wine), grog and mead are all good ways of warming yourself up at the various markets around town. They are atmospheric, but full of pretty tacky stuff. The traditional straw Christmas decorations make nice little presents for people at home, but apart from that most of it is pretty horrible stuff!! The most atmospheric market is the one in Old Town Square. It also has a stage where you can often see traditional folk dancing and Czech carol singers.
