Hotel Josef / restaurants

I am taking my darling wife to Prague to celebrate her 50th birthday, staying at the Hotel Josef for the weekend in March 2007. There are, I am sure, many restaurants close to the hotel? I would appreciate some advice/ recommendations prior to booking %26#39;the special meal%26#39;. Italian / European is probably her favourite. I guess it will be quite cold in march so we will not want to stray too far from the hotel.

I would suggest restaurant D%26#39;Angolo in Dlouha street, 5 min walk from the hotel. It is Italian/ European, nice atmoshere but not over the top. More elegant are V Zatisi and Bellevue, but you would need to take a taxi (which is not expensive) wow.praguefinedining.cz

DaNico on the same street, Dlouha, as D%26#39;Angolo and Kogo in Slovansky Dum are also good Italian / European restaurants. I wouldn%26#39;t though think either of these are good enough for a 50th birthday.

Book the Four Seasons with a view of the castle and charles bridge - only 15 minutes walk from the hotel
