Best city tour of Prague

I will be visiting Prague 26 -29 December and would like to book a half day tour around the city. I have seen both walking and coach tours advertised, both private and group. I am not sure which to go for. I think we will feel a bit self concious with a private tour as there are only two of us! Can anyone recommend a good one and how to book it, price etc?

There are Martin Tours and Prague Sight Seeing Tours, the two big ones. They have boothes in the center where you can book a tour as you go or with the concierge of your hotel.

I would prefer a private guide, even though that costs a lot more, even if its just the two of you. They give you a real insight and personal storries, which make the tour much more memorable. It is about 20 Euro per hour.

unless the weather is bitterly cold, I think caoch tours are a waste of money. Much of the centre is pedestrianised and so the coaches cannot go where you can on foot. In addition, when it gets cold, the windows of the buses steam up and you can%26#39;t see much.

Sarka pelantova%26#39;s company www.prague-guide.info have been recommended by a number of people on this site for private tours
