I%26#39;m going to Prague with my husband over christmas - dec 23 rd - 26th. 06. Can anyone tell me if the restaurants are open christmas eve on the 24th, and perhaps recommend one. Anything else in particarly going on over christmas?

Hello there, from what I know most restaurants are closed on the 24th, or have a set menu. I will also be in Prague over Xmas and have booked a table at Kampa Park for the 24th and V Zatisi on the 25th. Have a great time.

Hi, there is a site called prague experience where they have a christmas planner - the planner has a list of restaurants that are open on 24th and 25th December along with guide prices and menus and you can make bookings via the site too. They have some information regarding the christmas markets during this period too. Hope you find this site useful, I certainly have.

I found the prague experience site very useful. We booked our Christmas Day meal via the site.

We%26#39;re going to Cowboy%26#39;s Steak %26amp; Cocktails Restaurant (not the most christmassy of restaurants, i know) but at least you know what you%26#39;re gonna get!!

We are going to Prague on the same datesand have booked Kolkovna for the 24th and the Olympia for the 25th.

prague experience is a commercial website where you would expect to pay more for the restaurant visit than if you booked yourself. As stated above, many restaurants do close on 24th and 25th or you need to book a special menu. What is clear though is that unless you eat your main meal at lunchtime, you are advised to make reservations.

don%26#39;t go for the czech special christmas menu, as this involves eating carp, but do stand on 23rd or 24th on streets like narodni trida watching the czechs buy their christmas carp - fascinating and gruesome.
