New year in Prague

I have booked to spend New Year in Prague going on 29th Dec and returning on 3 rd Jan. I have read many web sites recommending to pre book a restaurant for New Years Eve. Does anynoe have any comments on whether this is advisable or to just wait until we get there? Niether of us have been before so any comments are welcomed.

not just advisable to pre book a restaurant on new years eve, but absolutely essential. Don%26#39;t think you would be able to walk into a restaurant in england on new years eve without a reservation, so Prague isn%26#39;t any different
