New Year in Prague

Please could someone recommend a New Year Eve venue. Nothing really tacky but lively? Also a recommendation for a really special birthday meal.

the two clubs near the charles bridge, Lavka and Karlovy Lazne are worth a look. Lavka has a terrace where you can see the midnight fireworks. Both clubs require tickets in advance on new years eve. Almost next door, Bellevue and Mlynec offer a good meal, but on new years eve, you will need to pay for the new years party at both restaurants, not just for a normal meal. If you then want to go to a club, you will end up paying double. perhaps better then to go to a restaurant party with a view of the fireworks such as Hergetova Cihelna or Kampa Park
