Pristavni to Hlavni Nadrazi for 6am train

Hi, I have booked a room at Extol Inn (Pristavni 2, Holesovice)for my stay during mid September. The thing is, I will need to leave Prague by train at 6AM (!!) at Hlavni Nadrazi station on a saturday morning. Is it still wise to stay at Extol? It appears a bit early to get to the train station...Any advice? Many thanks.

Hi

Don%26#39;t know where the Extol Inn is but I can recommend the Express by Holiday Inn, Prague City Centre, as it%26#39;s over the road from Hlavni Nadradi station, literally a one minute walk.

For reviews of the hotel have a look on this site, I was there last month and loved it, going back in November.

Good luck.

Pristavni is a long way out and Holesovice is not the best area of Prague to stay in. There is a tram number 5 though from the next street that takes you to Namesti Republiky on the edge of the old town, tram number 3 which takes you to Wenceslas Square and tram 12 which takes you to Mala Strana. Trams 1, 3, 5 and 25 all go to Vltavska metro station, which connects to the red line metro to Hlavni Nadrazi, and both the tram and metro start intermittently after 4am. So you could take public transport, but you will be better having your hotel order a taxi (AAA) to take you to Hlavni Nadrazi, just to avoid any heataches in case the public transport runs to intermittently. You should also go and puchase your train ticket ahead of your travel day and famiarlise yourself with the station layout. the worse thing you want early in the morning is one ticket window open and a very very slow queue

Pristavni is not faraway from the city centre, really not. Be sure it takes just 10 min by tram NO.5.
