1st trip to Prague

My fiancé and I will be going to Prague on Dec.5-8 and will be staying at Acc-Nifos Da Vinci hotel. We just have a couple of questions:

- We don’t arrive to Prague until 3pm, is it better to take a taxi or take the tram from the airport to the hotel.

- Where should we eat and what is the best night life (bars, lounge, and clubs?)

- Good breakfast/lunch/dinner suggestion

- Is it hard to take a day trip to karlovy vary?

Thank you!!!!!

trams don%26#39;t go to the airport. if you want to go by public transport take the 119 bus to dejvicka metro, the green line metro to muzeum, change for the red line metro and get off at ip pavlova and then it is a 10 minute walk to the hotel. journey will take an hour or so. Taxi outside the airport will cost no more than 700 dollars.

You will need the public transport (tram mainly) to get you from the hotel to the city centre and castle district. Buy a 3 or 7 day public transport ticket from the prague transport authority offices in the arrivals hall at the airport once you have cleared customs - at least they speak english there.

Make sure you have a room at the back of the hotel - the street where the hotel is located is one of the busiest streets in prague - day and night.

Asiana travel run buses every hour from florenc bus station to karlovy vary and in winter you can normally buy the tickets on the bus.

As for eating, don%26#39;t know what kind of budget you are on / qualityy of restaurants you need. Pivovarsky dum on the corner of jecna and lipova streets about 10 minutes walk from the hotel is a great Czech pub and jb club down klimentska (also 10 minutes walk from the hotel) is a good staple czech restaurant
