Does this restaurant come recommended from any of you guys out there?
We%26#39;re possibly going to book for Dec 25th (not the most christmassy of restaurants to book, i know)! But the food sounds good!
Just wondered what your views are?
Thanks.

We went there last February, good food as long as you like steak. It has a much more relaxed atmosphere than other top Prague restaurants.

Where is it and what are the prices like?

We went to Cowboys for our anniversary in September and were not disappointed.
It is a very large place and quite trendy on Nerudova just before the Castle.
A very nice menu and a fabulous choice of steaks anyway you like it.
Prices are quite expensive for Prague and drinks are really pricey but having said that if you are not drinking a lot but there to have nice meal and move on somewhere else then it%26#39;s not too bad.
Menu can be checked out on Kampa Group Website.
We went on Monday night and it was very busy. Big terrace out back for summer dining.

Hi stayed in Hotel Josef last week - Wed- Sat.
3 very good restuarants - LaryFary - just round the corner - from the Hotel out front door, right then 1st left 50-100 meters. Great Meal etc about 1500ck for 2 for 2 course with drinks (beer %26amp; water)
Cowboys on the main street up to the castle - again good right up near the castle - about 1700 ck for same 2 courses with beer/glass of wine %26amp; water
Buffolo Bills (tex mex) in the new town off Wencless Square (ist side street on right hand side as you walk up Wencless Sq - about 5-10 mins down that street. Probably about a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel. Do not be put off by the walk or the location. This is excellent and for starter/main course 2 pints and water for 2 people 1/2 the price of the other 2 restaruants about 650ck and just as good if not better.

Put me down for a negative review.
We have been twice, wanted to like it, and after the second visit, swore never again. In summary: High prices, small steaks and other dishes, slow service.
Both times, we spent close to $100 for two people. I had the rib eye both times, which is hard to find in Prague. Let me say, it was tastey. And tiny. And I ordered the biggest version. The second time, I ordered it medium. It was well done. No pink. But it took so long, didn%26#39;t want to wait for another. It was so thin, I could understand why it was hard to cook it as ordered.
The steaks don%26#39;t seem that expensive at first, but all side dishes and sauces are extra.
The chocolate cake/fondant with the melting center -- very tastey and very tiny. Like 3-4 spoon/forks worth.
Atmosphere is modern inside an old stonewall space -- a bit kitschy with a cow hide covered host area.
If the bill was about half what it was, I would have raved about the place. But too many sour tastes -- just didn%26#39;t feel I got value for money.
My favorite for steaks and atmosphere is La Boguita del Medio, the Cuban place near Old Town Square. Live Cuban music downstairs. I think the steaks, including rib eye are thick and South American. Brasserie M is pretty good. And Ambiente on Manesova had good steaks, though a more regular restaurant, but modern atmosphere.

I would go with Brewsta. Les moules on brehova street or el gaucho serve much better steaks

Hi Bubbalee,
I have to say i have been before and i really did enjoy the food (mind you i do not eat meat however, the stake my boyfriend had did look good). The layout is good, huge cowprints etc. nice/clean looking also and i did find the service brillaint (very happy friendly guy served us).
Downfalls - very pricey (which you can find up beside the Castle area). Portion was quite small (the one i had was) I had to fill up on side dishes so it cost a fortune.
