Decin

Does anyone recommend stopping in Decin for a night between Dresden and prague (in late December)?

no - one of the grimmest places on the planet, especially in winter. Dresden to Prague by train takes only 3 hours or so

Thanks peb, for your frank reply. Are there any worthwhile stops on the train route from Dresden to Prague? What about Bad Schonau?

Zittau, a bit out of the way, but interesting? (at December)?

I would not bother stopping betwenn Prague and Dresden, safe the time for these two beautiful cities...

I liked Hrensko though, I only saw the bus station and train station in Decin.
