Passport/Visas and general prague info!

Hi...

firstly was wondering if anyone had been to Prague recently from the UK- did they get there passport stamped when arriving at Prague airport?

I know British citizens with British passports do not need a visa.... (?)

Me and my boyfriend are visiting a week before Christmas (17th-22nd) and were wondering what the main attractions are at this time apart from the Christmas Markets of course!

And lastly, were both Vegetarian, so anyone recommend any good (cheapish) restaurants? We want to eat where the locals eat and not the touristy places.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Thank you

No, you will not get your passport stamped - Czech Republic is part of the EU.

Actually there is one option. When you arrive at passport control, queue at a gate marked as %26quot;All passports%26quot; i.e. not the %26quot;EU Only%26quot; counters. You can ask for a stamp but, they don%26#39;t have to do it if they don%26#39;t want to.

for real vegetarian restaurants (one%26#39;s that serve nothing else), tty Albio on Truhlarska just east of the old town or Lehka Hlava onm Borsov near bethlemska namesti. However, most of the international restaurants offer vegetarian options on their menus as do most of the pasta restaurants that you will see

Albiostyl in Truhlarska does actually have meat options which I found quite strange for a place which started out with a %26quot;veg only%26quot; attitude. Their online listings at www.albiostyl.cz have the %26quot;Hlavni Jidla Masova%26quot; section for meat eaters. Everything else is veg. The meat stuff is very tasteful i.e. it%26#39;s not like the waitress is walking over with a bloody steak or anything like that.

For me, I tend to stick to Govinda, Beas-Dhaba or Lehkahlava (as Peb also recommends).
