Tour Buses

Hi everyone,

We are booked to go to Prague on 18th December for 4 nights, and we are already really excited!!!

We went to Budapest the same time last year, and during our visit, we went on a tour bus around the city, which showed us all the key things. It was roughly £17 a person I think and we found it to be extremely useful and very enjoyable. It was only small, approximately 20 people at a time, and the host spoke both English and German. I was wondering if anyone knew of a similar thing in Prague? I want to look it up etc before we leave.

Thanks in advance,

Gemma

because Prague is mainly pedestrianised sevral companies do walking tours,i think some also do min-bus tours. You will find there stalls at various points in the city.

www.pragueexperience.com and www.praguer.com (city walks) are companies i have used in the past.

Martin tours also get a good name on this forum.

unclegus is correct. Budapest is much more spread out than Prague (remember it used to be two cities, not one). there are bus tours, but as most of the sites are pedestrianised, I would only recommend taking this if you have difficulty walking or it is bitterly cold). Most of Prague is walkable and the castle is easily reachable by public tram

Hi

Try the little tourist train that runs from Old Town Square, through Jewish Quarter up Nerudova to Castle and back again.

It%26#39;s okay if you are tired of walking. It has a commentary and is a lot less than £17 I think it was about £5.

Okay you don%26#39;t get all over the town just a fixed route but we found it quite pleasant.

You can get off at the Castle and get next train back, I think they run every hour.

You can get the train at Old Town Square just down from Kinsky Palace.

Hi,

There are a few bus tours that do small groups. If you are staying at the Eurostars Gray Line might be good as they pick up in Narodni. Their website www.citytours.cz They work through Bohemia Travel Service. besttour.cz and cityrama.cz are another two. The best thing is to go on to inyourpocket.com click on Prague and then tours and see what suits you.
