Hello, am needed some advise again, my and my husband will be arriving by train on the 28th at 4:30 p.m., have to check in the hotel and I think will be ready to explore by 6 or 6:30, problem is, alot of the tours are over, except the boat one which you guys say is not so hot because the windows steam up, I%26#39;ve mailed a couple of private tours, don%26#39;t have anything arranged so far, one option is the mediveal tour at 6:30 but its walking, this might be too cold? (not sure) i was hoping to find a car or public transportation with walking tour if possible,
if i come up with nothing, what should we do on our own?? want to make the most of all our time and see the wonders of Prague, what must one see at %26quot;night%26quot; , take the metro? any private guys u know of who are good and reliable?
thanks for your help,
-jeannette

don%26#39;t know where you are staying, but I wouldn%26#39;t go for a medieval evening on the night you arrive. easy bearing finding evening walk in the old town is foot of wenceslas square - old town square and through to the charles bridge for the unforgetable night view of the castle, or if staying in mala strana, walk over the charles bridge to the old town square. doing a reasonably small walk like this before or after dinner will help set your bearings.

Thanks Peb,
I have written that company, we are at Tivoli Hotel , Sokolska 48,
I think near the red metro train?

PS: I emailed them from their link and my mail keeps coming back undeliverable, do you think this company is still in business?
Peb I have to see much as possible, :) , We are leaving on the 30th, I do have a day tour booked for Wednesday but I hoped to do an evening one also, and maybe some beer and food too !

22 and 23 tram which goes from outside the IP Pavlova metro station will be more useful to you than the north south running red metro line. Both trams go to the edge of the old town, the little quarter and the castle district.
Buy either a 3 or 7 day public transport pass from the Prague Transport Authority office at the airport (in the arrivals hall once you have come through customs) - you will need public transport every day and these tickets save the hassle of buying individual tickets.
For a first evening walk, take the 22 or 23 tram to malostranske namesti, walk back across the charles bridge, go to old town square and then foot of wenceslas square and then you can catch the 22 or 23 tram back from narodni trida metro station to ip pavlova
some tour companies you will see advertising themselves under the astronomical clock in the old town square do evening walking pub tours which are pretty good

Thanks Peb, okay I think it%26#39;s decided, we will go to the pub crawl on with prague experience, i think going with other people will be fun, and i LOVE beer, i even turned my scotch husband into a beer drinker , :)
after that... walk around and enjoy. We don%26#39;t have that in the states, such neat places to see, all that history...amazing
i%26#39;m just bummed that we have such a short time but something is better than nothing i say :) see you all next Tuesday, i know I am going to love it !!
Thanks for all the advise !
