Lead tinsel?

Years ago my aunt brought home a package of nice, heavy Christmas tinsel strands from East Germany. They are about the thickness of cooking foil - and much nicer than the synthetic strands available in the US. Is such a thing still available in Europe?

yes, it is. it%26#39;s the standard product. although I did notice the thinner kind like you have in the us in shops in Europe too.
