Hotel The Golden Wheel is one of the most popular hotels in this location. They serve excellent breakfast too. On the popularity Nr. 13 from all hotels in Prague.

When I went to Prague last year, a couple of friends came to join us from Paris and they had rented a place from the Castle Step%26#39;s which is why we had picked hotel Neruda for our one week stay at the beginning of our trip. I didnt look at the apartment they had rented but was told it is ok (they were in town only for a weekend so they didnt really care about the lodging being top quality).

We had waited for them in the restaurant just right next to the door that leads to the apartment and a bit further downhill (maybe 10 or 15 steps) u will find the tourist service center (a shop that u can get concert tickets and any tourist related services, though there is a bit of language barrier - this is quite common everywhere in town).

For the price, castle step is ok but my friends did mentioned that they can hear other people taking their showers (so walls are really thin).

Good Luck

sorry forgot to add, u have to walk up the hill about 15 mins to get to the Castle, Castle Steps is located before our hotel. It is closer to the foot of the hill (almost at the beginning) so dont be misled by the name (definitely not in the immediate area of the castle).

But location isnt bad coz it is closer to the concert hall and Charles Bridge so u can easily walk to these places when Mala Strana closes for the evening (the royal route is busy during the day but once night falls, all is quiet). From the apartment, u r closer to the night life esp. over on the other side of Charles Bridge which is easily manageble and even the few steps to our hotel further uphill was a bit of an effort after one night of painting the town red ! So location wise, I say Castle step is actually quite good.

GOod Luck
