Running in Prague in Dec

Hi- I will be visiting the first week of December staying in the Castle Quarter, wondering if anyone could give me advice on good places/parks to run in that would be relatively nearby, or at the very least, a gym with a treadmill close by? I%26#39;m interested in 3-5 mile routes. Thanks so much!

Running will depend on whether you are staying underneath the castle in mala srana or up the hill by the castle itself and if you run on the streets, the cobbles are quite tiring Prague isn%26#39;t too endeared with flat running spaces away from traffic. down the hill there is kampa park just south of the charles bridge, but it isn%26#39;t too far to run around. At the top, running along the path outside the city ramparts along jeleni and marianske hradby streets (but you are running with cars). If you are really serious about running, the take the tram or metro up the hill and run in the letna park.

Of course, if it is snowing, you need to run indoors. mandarin oriental in mala strana has a gym, but it isn%26#39;t cheap

Hi- thanks for your reply! I%26#39;ll be staying at the Domus Henrici...from what I understand, it is very near the Castle gate. I was thinking that I could just run to Letna Park from there- it doesn%26#39;t look very far on the map...but sometimes maps can be deceiving. Do you think that%26#39;d doable?

you can run to letna park, out the side castle gates, across prasny most - along marianske hradby street (this is the bit with the cars), step itno the chotkovy sady park beyond the summer residence and at the end there is a footbridge which leads you into the letna
