"Prague Airport Shuttle"

Just back from Prague and thought I should report favourably on the %26#39;Prague AIrport Shuttle%26#39; company. They arrived on time for the pickup, english speaking drivers who gave lots of tips about where to go, dealt quickly with a minor time change for the return journey on my part.

Would definitely use again and thanks to whoever recommended them to me (couldnt find my original message or I would have updated that).

Ditto...we used them last month and they were great. I like the fact that we could also pay in Euros or USD. We arrived in Prague at 11:30 at night...last flight in...it was so nice to see my name on a sign and not worry about looking for a cab.

even with the last flight from london which gets in after midnight (and after the public transport system has closed down), there are plenty of taxis outside the airport to take to the centre, if you don%26#39;t want to prearrange a pick up with people like prague airport shuttle

|||

Do they not have a bad reputation? I recall reading a story about the mayor of prague pretending to be a tourist and getting ripped off?

|||

For the two of us women traveling alone and never having been to Prague this was the way to go...and I will arrange it with them next visit as well. How much does a taxi cost in Euros...the Prague shuttle was 23 euros for two people with English speaking driver. Do all the taxi drivers speak English?

the yellow AAA taxis and the grey Fix taxis that you will see outside the airport are not a problem - only taxis you hail from the street are the problem in prague.

AAA now advertises that their fare to the centre is 510 crowns (less than 20 Euros), but it depends on where in the centre you are and the traffic, as AAA charge based on the taxi meter. Fix charge a fixed price on where you go to, and the centre should not be more than 600 crowns (20 Euros).

all the taxi drivers for both the above companies speak english, but it is best to have a printout of where you want to go to show to the driver

Disclaimer: I am the owner of prague airport shuttle.

PEB7 you are doing yourself harm, you have such a good reputation on this board and yet you suggest that all the AAA and FIX drivers speak English, that is simply not true and I know that for a fact. You said in an earlier post %26quot;people like prague airport shuttle%26quot; I am sure you mean that in a nice way :-).

I was so impresssed by the Prague shuttle service even sending an email with a photo of exactly the spot where we were supposed to meet our driver and detailed directions to that spot. We were tired...it was late at night...I had never been to Prague before...this service just made it a very stressfree start to our vacation.

We are currently in Prague on holiday - found the whole arrival experience at the airport very easy, the yellow dressed greeter for AAA Taxis showed us to a taxi, said approx. 500 to our hotel in Kinsky Gardens and that is exactly what it was. Nice driver with little bit of English, newish clean car, recommended. As our BA flight was delayed probably the best solution for us.

We have used prague airport shuttle 4 times over the last 2 years and every time they have been on time and reliable.

We have family in Prague - we have always been advised to use AAA. They didn%26#39;t used to have a taxi stand at the airport so we would have to call, which was a pain because it%26#39;s always questionable whether they understood.

However, they now have someone there so it%26#39;s a piece of cake. From our many trips, we were only ripped off once (700 crowns to get into Prague near the Jewish Cemetery). It normally doesn%26#39;t cost more than 500 crowns.

Don%26#39;t take any other airport taxis - we were told that they frequently charge a lot more for unsuspecting tourists. This was the company that used to do the main pickup there.
