New years eve

Hi,

Will be in Prague on New years ever and would like to do a cruise (music food entertainement onboard) the ones I wanted the jazz boat and another one I can%26#39;t remeber the name are already full.

Any ideas on good cruises (not over 150 euros per person) or some other nice relatively quiet nice places to spend new years eve?

Looking for something with a view, nice meal (not discos really) and from wich I can see the fireworks and the city.

Thanks in advance for your help

Something I forgot in the post above. Is it better to book in advance or wait to get there get more info about new years eve programs and book there? (I arrive on the 29 of December)

Finally (uff) I am staying at Beranek I have read good and bad reviews on this hotel what do you think?

Thanks

I%26#39;m also visiting prague over new years. i%26#39;d say it%26#39;s always good to reserve in advance for that night to avoid disappointment. Also, I think most hotels are already booked, so I hope your place pleases you.

many places are already booked. to save you looking for river cruises individually, look at people like www.pragueexperience.com, but none of the new years eve events which have a grand view of the fireworks will be much less than 150 euros

the alternative is eating somewhere else and going to the river bank by yourself to watch the fireworks at midnight

Thanks so much for your replys but river cruises at www.pragueexperience.com are no longer avaiable I supose they are sold out. Any other site where I can find cruises?´

Tks in advance

www.guidingprague.com also offer new years cruises, but cannot say if they are sold out

Thanks so much for your help. By the way as any of you actually taken those cruises? Are they any good? (cause they seem relatively inexepensive around 110 euros).

Thanks in advance

many people think 110 euros is expensive, not inexpensive. you won%26#39;t get a top notch meal (it will be a buffet), so you will be queuing for the food before it gets cold, and the decor isn%26#39;t luxury. You need to be on deck early to grab your space for the midnight fireworks (but beware, it is normally pretty cold), and of course, you can%26#39;t just hop off the boat when the fireworks end - you need to wait until the party is over and the boat docks.

But, if your captain is good, you will have a prime safe position in the middle of the river for the firework display and that is probably worth the 110 euros by itslef (provided it is not raining)

Thanks so much for your answer. In that case would you recomend not taking the cruise?

If so do you know any nice restaurant with some view (fireworks if possible) for about the same price (120-150 euros) that you would personally recomend?

Thanks in advance

kampa park, hergetova cihelna, sovovy mlynu and the intercontinental all have good views of the river, or try one of the restaurants on parizska like pravda, barock or la scene, which are only 100 metres or so from the river

Thanks so much
