State Opera/New Year's

Hi, I will be in Prague on Dec 31st. I have seen that the State Opera has an intriguing combination of opera and party on this date. Has anybody done this in previous years? Is it a good alternative to a more traditional dinner/party? Thanks!

jerry,

was in prague last new year, looked at it but was very expensive if i remember, instead we went to the sovovy mnyny( yes i know the spelling is wrong), dinner and disco, then on new years day went to the rudolfinum hall for the new years day concert, wonderful.

It is slightly more expensive. It is our wedding anniversary and was thinking of something slightly more special than a traditional party so wouldn%26#39;t mind to spend a little bit more. The description is quite short, and I have not been able to access any information about previous years. I fear it could be a very original way of celebrating the new year or a complete fiasco !

Hi again,

dont know if you got your info from the same place, but i went to www.pragueexperience.com and then scroll down the left to opera and concerts i think it is then go down to 31dec and click on to the state opera i think, and it gives a fair amount of detail about the do

if you cant find it give me a post and i will try to explain better

state opera new years eve is good. You need to pick your spot as to where you have your table. A downside is that you don%26#39;t get to see the new years eve fireworks down by the river unless you leave early

did you get the info on it
