Hi, everybody!
Next spring my family and I will be visiting Prague, and then we are going to move to Bratislava. I%26#39;ve just found how hard it is to rent a car for an international one-way between those two cities: car rental companies simply don%26#39;t allow the transfer.
Would you give us any tip about the best way (charter, train, bus) to reach Bratislava, suitable for two young kids (5 and 8 years old) as well?
Thanks

take the train. brand new fast trains go from prague to bratislava in just over 3 hours. you can do bratislava as a day trip (and you can see nearly all of bratislava in a day).

Peb7, thank you for your prompt reply.
Are you so kind to give me a roughly idea about the cost in 2nd class?

less than 20 euros each way

Peb
when did these trains come into service and do they all run from the same station. When I took the train from Prague to Bratislava it was somewhere between 5 or six hours if my memory serves correct. Wish I would have known about this sooner. Thanks for the information though : )

fast trains are the SC pendolino trains (there many are other normal trains which go from prague to bratislava but these take well over 4 hours). The pendolino trains go from holesovice station. Other trains go from either holesovice station or from the central station, hlavni nadrazi

thanks peb, wished i had researched this earlier. I took the train station which is just accross the street from Wenceslas Square, I dont even know its name, it pays to do some research, thank again.

train station near wenceslas square is the central station, called locally hlavni nadrazi. The new fast pendolino trains to bratislava have only been running since December 10th
