Prague sites closed around New Years

We will be in Prague for the New Years holidays from Dec. 30-Jan 2. What sites will be closed during this time? Will the Jewish Quarter be open on the 31st, the castle sites on the 1st? what are some alternatives? any help would be greatly appreciated

Well the 30th and 31st are Sat and Sunday so I would expect that aside from Bars that most museums and government run sites will be closed except those usually open on Saturday.

Don%26#39;t worry though all the bars will be open and serving Czech beer throughout the evening!!!

castle is a public space and will be open all the time, even if the actual buildings themselves inside are not.
