Prague in March ,6 Adults in their 30's

Hello all:

We are stay at the Charles Bridge Residence...which according to this website is great!!

So we will be in Town for 5 days.so what are the things people usually miss?

We will see all of the %26quot;Biggies%26quot;. i.e. Castle, Bridge, Jewish quarter...etc.

Is U Fleku a %26quot;must%26quot;??

Will there be anythin going on at the Estates Theatre?

Do you think it is worth taking a day trip out of town?

Maybe to Carlsbad or Cesky Krumlov?

Thank you in advance for all of your help!!!

Have a Happy and A Merry!!!!

JB

have a look at this link to see what a friend and i got upto in Prague and surrounding area this past March.

tripadvisor.com/GoListDetail-i2106-Unclegus_…

there are usually several things going on in the various concert halls.

www.ticketsbti.cz for details.

I havn%26#39;t been in U fleku for several years ,but did enjoy the experience, mind you the beer gave me severe wind for hours afterwards.

look at

www.praguepubs.co.uk and www.classiccitybrew.com/prague

for info on greta pubs and beerhall lots of which are metioned in the first link.

A different sort of half - day trip - consider visiting the Nazi Gestapo prison and concentration camp at Terezin, tours offered by multiple companies. A sobering and edifying experience, not easily forgotten.

U Fleku is a %26quot;must not%26quot;! Full of tourists and the food is bad. Have a look or a beer but don%26#39;t stay to eat.

Daytrip options: Terezin is an hour away and there are good organised tours to it. Check with Wittmann Tours, they have survivors as guides. Nelahozeves Castle has the biggest private art collection, paintings from Rubens, Canaletto, Breughel etc. No organised tours though, you would have to take the train. Carlsbad is a longer trip, but worth it, a beautiful city.Cesky Krumlov even prettier, but quite a trip.

Basic info you find on www.livingprague.com.

Karlstyn castle is a nice day trip (probably not quite a whole day) easy, cheap. and a chance to get into the country.

take a look here. we also went to Karlovy Vary, which is a longer trip. we would have liked to get to cesky Krumlov, but it diddnt seem to be a sensible poss without an overnight stay

agree with martina - avoid u flecku. U vejvodu or u medvicku give a czech rather than a german experience. Depends if you 6 are here for the culture or to drink beer. If for the culture, cesky krumlov is amazing. if for the beer take a day trip out to the brewery at plzen
