Arriving in Prague on Dec 26th for 5 nights and staying at the Andels Hotel.
Key for a great hol is some local establishments near to the hotel which serve traditional Czech food and beer - ideally not those from the guide books due to the large number of tourists they attract.
Any help appreciated. Really looking forward to it.
Also - any rock bars / clubs as well? Nothing better than listening to AC DC / Thin Lizzy whilst supping several beers.

Not many rock cubs in Prague, but if you want to see something live and more local oriented, there is a Klub Vagon on Narodni Trida. You%26#39;re in luck, they have a Stones revival band on the 26th and a Janis and Tina tribute band on the 28th.

Also, try 80s night at Lucerna Music Bar Fridays and Saturdays on Wenceslas Square. Big underground disco on Wenceslas Square. Packed. A very unique place.
For good check food on the upscale side, try Potrefena Husa at Andel. Order the koleno (pork knee) for a Czech meal experience.
