Hi there,
Returned on Tuesday from 4 nights in Prague.
Stunning. That about sums up our trip really.
No problems with flights in, used Peb7 advise (thanks) and asked yellow AAA taxis how much and was quite a bit less than the gray ones.
Never needed to use public transport so unable to comment on metro/trams as everything we wanted to see was ok to walk.
Hotel fantastic - Patchuv Palace right by Charles Bridge over looking the river. Never stayed anywhere so posh, and all staff could not do enough for us.
Found lots of nice places to eat and seemed to end up in Pappas cocktail bar in Bethlehem square every night after wards! No problems with late nights/feeling safe/groups of lads drinking etc. We were careful - I had camera in it%26#39;s case threaded through my belt under my coat and always only enough money for each trip and kept my purse in front jeans pocket again under coat and did not need a handbag so maybe we did not look like tourists but no problems by taking these small and not dificult measures.
Spent my 40th birthday night in Mylenec (thanks again Peb7!) and was amazing - never eaten anywhere so special. Table in the window with bridge and castle as the view all lit up. Again staff could not do enough.
Usual trips to Old Town Square, walked all round Jewish quater (cried in Pinkas at the childrens pictures), Castle and watched changing of guards at 12 with the fanfare. Used Eyewitness Travel Guide and it was very useful and informative. Very pleased to see the horses in the Old Town Square look so well. Please don%26#39;t take this wrong - it%26#39;s just as I have two at home I am naturally curious on there walfare wherever we go in the world.
Did not want to come home and lucky to only have a small delay on flight out. I want to visit again! Sorry got a bit long. Julia.

I was really taken aback as well by the childrens pictures....and walking thru the cemetery...very sad....spent more time than expected in the Jewish quarter.
