I will be in Prague for New Year%26#39;s Eve. Do you have any suggestions on things to do and should I make a reservation now? I will have my 10 and 11 year olds with me and it is my daughter%26#39;s birthday. Thanks for your help!

Most organized events at restaurants should probably booked. They tend to get pricey and include a set menu. What kind of evenng to you think they%26#39;d enjoy? Hard to know with little to go on.
For example, Kogo at Slovansky Dum, a very popular modern Italian style restaurant, is having dinner and I believe a DJ and at least one oldies rock band (mine). But I was told they are charging 2800 crowns a person.
Klub Vagon on Narodni Trida is having a Beatles and 70s rock cover band.
Word of advice you may have seen on other threads -- Wenceslas Square, Old Town Square and Charles Bridge areas are DANGEROUS -- keep away from there. Powerful fireworks are widely available here and drunken fools set them off in and AT the crowds. A lot. See other threads for safer places to stand if you want to see the big stuff go off at midnight.
I lived in Atlanta for 8 years, BTW. Now going on 8 in Prague.

My kids like all kinds of music (rock, jazz, popular, alternative, etc.) my main concern was if places allowed children or not. That is why I thought I might wait until I got there to book, but it seems I might be too late now. Thanks for the tips! Atlanta is very warm right now it is hard to imagine the weather there. 8 years is a good amount of time, I think Prague looks beautiful. Happy holidays!!
