hi we are going to prague and hope to stay at the ambassador hotel zlata husa any comments? also we love to find where the locals go, non tourist traps and experience places which are unique.. we love good food, wine, jazz and funk, and true culture etc any recommendations?

Well, this hotel is right on Wencelas Square, in the middle of the action, a location which I would avoid.

See if there is a music show at Lucerna Music Bar. It is a unique place for music -- a blast out of the past.
Klub Vagon on Narodni Trida specializes in live rock and covers.
U Maleho Glena has good jazz, sometimes blues. A very small space so get there early or reserve.
